Guided tours

The Biblioteca de Catalunya (BC) has its main headquarters in a Gothic building of great historical interest: the old Hospital de la Santa Creu. The Joan Maragall Archive, the poet of the "living word"'s residence, also forms part of the BC.

You can visit the main headquarters in the Hospital Street. The visit includes the exterior staircase and the library lobby, from where you can admire the Gothic room and the Espai Zero, with temporary exhibitions of documents that are kept in the BC. To do this, not booking or guide is required.
