Marçal, Maria Mercè, 1952-1998

Maria Mercè Marçal i Serra (Ivars d'Urgell, 1952 - Barcelona, 1998). A writer, professor and translator, she was known as a poet and storyteller. With Ramon Balasc and other young poets, she co-founded the publishers, Llibres del Mall, in 1973. Her literary work was awarded with several awards, including the Premi Carles Riba de poesia for Cau de Llunes.
