The BC is the national library of Catalonia, the mission of which is to collect, to conserve and to disseminate the bibliographical production of the country. The BC makes available all of the books, serials, audio and video recordings, maps, posters and other printed documents issued in Catalonia. At the same time, and since its foundation in 1907, it keeps a large and varied collection, both general and humanist, which has been expanded over the last few years with all kinds of electronic documents.
