Juan Marsé (Barcelona, 1933- ) Catalan writer, his original name is Juan Faneca Roca. He is one of the called writers of the generation of the 50’s, which treated of critical shape the Spanish society of the post-war. He wrote his first novel during military service in Ceuta called Nada para morir and won the Prize Sésamo in 1959.
His work has been very prolific during all his career, an example of it are the following works: Encerrados con un solo juguete (1961) Últimas tardes con Teresa (1966), Si te dicen que caí (1973), La muchacha de las bragas de oro (1978), Ronda del Guinardó (1984), El amante bilingüe (1990), Canciones de amor en Lolita's Club (2005) and Caligrafía de los sueños (2011), among others.
All these works have been awared with many prizes such as: Prize Library Breve (1965), Prize Planeta (1978), Prize City of Barcelona (1985), Prize of the Critical (1994), Reward National of Narrative (2001) or International Prize of the Fundacióm Cristóbal Gabarrçon de Letras (2010).
