Miquel Llor i Forcada (Barcelona, 1894 - Tossa de Mar, 1966). He was a novelist, short story writer and translator. His most important literary works were produced before the Civil War, such as Laura a la ciutat dels sants, winner of the Joan Crexells award for fiction in 1930 and published in 1931 is considered his best work. Joyce, Dostoievski and Proust were influences in his work, but his biggest influence was Sigmund Freud. In 1934 he joined the international writers association, Pen Club Internacional (PEN International).
