Adolfo Blanch i Cortada (Alicante, 1832 - Barcelona, 1887) was a Catalan poet, historian and journalist originally from Valencia. Based in Barcelona, he studied Law and Humanities at the University of Barcelona and contributed to the newspapers, El Sol and La Verdad Económica, at the same time as running the economy section of La Renaixença, in which he advocated Protectionism. He was declared Mestre en Gai Saber in 1868.
