Avel·lí Artís i Gener (Barcelona, 1912-2000) was a versatile journalist and writer who was exiled to Mexico for 25 years following the Civil War. He used the pen name Tísner.
The Biblioteca de Catalunya holds his received correspondence and a collection of press cuttings compiled by the author, as well as his private library which comprises some 4700 documents, a large number of which were published in Mexico and Argentina.
