Josep Palau i Fabre (Barcelona, 1917-2008) was a Catalan poet and art critic, specialising in works by Picasso. He studied Philosophy at the University of Barcelona and it was the editor, Josep Janes, who introduced him into literary circles. In 1945 he went to Paris where he lived until the late sixties.
