Albert Manent i Segimon (Premià de Dalt, 1930 - Barcelona, 2014) was a Catalan writer, known in the genres of poetry, fiction and history. He graduated in Law and Catalan Philology and was actively involved in Catalan resistance against Franco. His essays and reviews are of note. He received several awards, including the title of Mestre en Gai Saber and the Premi d'Honor de les Lletres Catalanes (2011).
