Josep Carner i Puig-Oriol (Barcelona, 1884 - Brussels, 1970) was a poet, journalist, playwright and translator. He is considered the greatest exponent of Noucentist poetry. He studied Law and Humanities and began his literary career at a very young age. Exiled in 1939, he never again lived in Catalonia.
His collection, comprising his private library, personal documents, received correspondence and copies of work in the 1957 publication of Poesia.
